[Drawkit] File format extensions

I did exactly what was described here and it was very easy. However --  
Xcode became very confused when I tried to do my next check-in and I  
had to merge many files to get it all sorted out.

Are there any prerequisites to moving the rep? I would have thought  
that an update and check-in would be preferred.
